Human Appeal’s 2023 Annual Report showcases the incredible impact we’ve achieved together. Over 4.3 million lives were touched through emergency relief, sustainable development, and hope for brighter futures.
1. Reaching Over 4.3 Million Lives
Despite a year marked by global crises, Human Appeal assisted more than 4.3 million vulnerable people in 28 countries. From responding to disasters in Turkey and Syria to providing food security during Ramadan, Eid, and winter, we remained dedicated to helping those in most need.
2. Empowering Children Through Orphan Sponsorship
With 21,592 orphans sponsored in 13 countries, we provided necessities such as food, healthcare, and education. Each child's well-being is protected by qualified officials, assuring a brighter, more secure future.
3. Life-Saving Emergency Responses
In 2023, we responded to seven major humanitarian incidents including flooding in Libya, earthquakes in Morocco, and Afghanistan. Highlights include the development of 1,000 brick homes in Syria, which will offer security and stability to displaced families.
4. Pioneering Sustainable Development
From installing 1,027 deep water wells in Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh to assisting honeybee farming in Jordan, our programs provided nearly 260,000 individuals with sustainable, life-changing solutions..
5. Impactful Seasonal Campaigns
In 2023, we assisted 862,695 people through Ramadan, Qurbani, and winter campaigns, marking a 25% increase from the previous year.
6. Expanding Global Partnerships
Collaborations with UNICEF and the Islamic Development Bank enabled us to provide creative solutions ranging from malnutrition prevention in Pakistan to cataract surgery in Somalia.
