Reach Every Human
.Throughout the year, our Reachers travel overseas to gain an in-depth, on-the-ground understanding of what it takes to deliver aid amidst humanitarian crises. You'll learn transferable skills such as fundraising, communication, and how to be both a team-player and a great leader. You'll develop grit, resolve, resilience, and compassion, while gaining an insight into how NGOs work. One thing's for sure, a Reach Deployment can change your life forever.
The minute you sign up to Reach, you become known as a 'Reacher' who is part of the Human Appeal family. We'll support you every step of the way, from helping unlock your fundraising potential to developing your leadership skills. Expect one-to-one fundraising guidance, regular online meetings and coaching, leadership training seminars, and life-changing overseas missions. If you want to serve humanity on a global scale and raise vital funds, your journey starts here.
After signing up and choosing your country, your first step is fundraising. Each country has its own target — see below for details. Take as much time as you need to raise your funds, and know that a Reach Deployment never asks for a registration fee.
Crisis zones, whether conflict or climate-related, share the same challenges: crumbling infrastructure and limited access to food, water, healthcare, and shelter. Before you travel, you'll receive a full briefing covering what to pack, your itinerary, and mandatory safeguarding training to protect our beneficiaries.
This once-in-a-lifetime experience puts you face to face with the people we support. You'll see, first-hand, the real difference humanitarian aid delivery can make, and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those living in harsh conditions.

Reach is a leadership program aimed at creating humanitarian leaders who focus their energy and passion into raising funds and making a difference, while developing key skills including:
• Leadership • Communication • Fundraising • Humanitarian field knowledge
A typical day in the field may include travelling in the morning by coach to a location 60 minutes away from the accommodation and visiting different camps throughout the day. It can be tough and takes a great amount of resilience.
You’ll meet many people on the trip who are all working together to serve our brothers and sisters. Whether distributing bread in Lebanon, food parcels in Kenya, or building wells in Pakistan, every day and every deployment is different
Before you are deployed overseas you will be fully equipped with everything you need to undertake a safe and successful deployment. This includes training in fundraising, safety, child protection and safeguarding, as well as media and leadership training.
If you are over 18 and can raise the minimum fundraising target, you may join our deployments. You can still support our fundraising activities until you are 18 years old when you’ll then be eligible to go on a deployment.
The kit you need will depend on the location. You will be briefed fully on everything you need to pack for your deployment.
You will stay in a good standard of hotel accommodation within driving distance of the camps where we distribute aid.
You will need a visa to enter Kenya, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
The money you raise for your deployment will be used to support the projects we run in the country you are visiting.
We recommend taking no more than $50 in cash for spending money.
No, you will not have to use your own money to pay for your flight.

The clothes you need will depend on the location and time of year that you travel. You will be provided with a full briefing on which clothing you should pack before you are deployed.
We will have ‘Reach Reflections’ every evening for people to discuss their experiences. If any serious issues arise, we will refer you to our local UK Human Appeal teams.
