The journey from one small apartment to a global movement.
Our journey began in 1991 in a small apartment in Manchester, with a big dream and small steps filled with determination and hope. We’ve always believed real change begins in the smallest places and simplest actions. From that humble beginning, we’ve grown into a global humanitarian organization serving communities in need.
In 2004, we took the formal step of registering as a company limited by guarantee, and today we operate as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit — a reflection of our deep, ongoing commitment to the communities we serve.
For over 35 years, our goal has been simple: to be part of the positive change we want to see in the world — a world free of poverty and hunger, where justice and compassion prevail, where no one goes homeless, uneducated, or untreated.
