After 7 months of conflict, over 37,600 Palestinians have been killed – almost half of whom are children. More than 84,490 people have been wounded, and over 10,000 are thought to be buried under rubble. The number of people killed is estimated to be significantly higher.
After Rafah was seized and Palestinians sheltering in this designated safe space have been forced to flee once more, the already catastrophic situation is rapidly escalating. The siege has been tightened, cutting off essential medicines, baby supplies, food, and aid. Survivors face rising risks of disease and infection amidst utter destruction, as medical facilities are targeted and shut down.
As humans and as Muslims, it is our sacred duty to do all we can to put an end to their unbearable suffering.
Human Appeal is in Gaza, providing a mobile clinic at UN school shelters, providing hot meals every day, and tens of thousands of litres of clean drinking water every hour.
Decimated health infrastructure
Only 11 out of Gaza’s 36 hospitals are functioning in any capacity and the few hospitals left standing are struggling to treat patients without enough medicine, anaesthesia, doctors, or equipment. Disease is spreading among displaced families, and 9,000 critical patients need to be evacuated out of the Gaza Strip.
Help us to provide medical supplies are urgently needed to support the remaining doctors as they struggle to treat patients. We’re also providing food to medical staff, allowing them to keep working through long shifts of saving lives with little-to-no rest and not enough food. Help us to help them continue saving lives.
Our mobile clinics in Gaza are treating people facing sickness and infection. Each week our clinic moves to a different UN school shelter and treats around 70 people per day, providing pediatric, gynecology, as well as treatment for chronic diseases, such as diabetes. Our mobile clinics save lives, and every life saved is precious.
With over 30 years of experience in Gaza, we have the expertise and determination to navigate through barriers, source supplies locally, and deliver critical aid to those in need.
Hunger and famine
Families who fled the violence are now grappling with acute hunger, with children and infants particularly at risk of malnutrition. Heartbreaking scenes unfold daily as children waste away, their lives on the line for the simplest need – food.
Palestinians in Gaza are facing the highest levels of starvation ever recorded. Famine is imminent and 1.1 million people are facing catastrophic hunger. 28 babies have died of starvation and dehydration.

Destruction and displacement
More bombs than fell throughout WW2 have exploded in the Gaza Strip over the past seven months, turning the small strip of land to rubble. 62% of all homes are destroyed, displacing 1.7 million people – that’s 75% of the population who no longer have a place to call home.
Water and waste system destroyed
Gaza was already suffering a water crisis before October 7th. Now most families have no access to safe drinking water, the wastewater network is destroyed, and dehydration, hepatitis, skin diseases, and diarrhoea are rife.
Even before the escalation, 97% of Gaza’s water was unsafe to drink. Now, with infrastructure in ruins, people have been pushed to the extreme of drinking water that can make them sick.
Our desalination plant provides 52,000 litres of clean, safe water per hour, and is a true lifeline to the community.
All eyes on Rafah
As attacks intensify on Rafah, the humanitarian response is on the verge of collapse. Announcements of additional crossing points and aid initiatives, including the new ‘floating dock,’ have given an illusion of improvement, while humanitarian conditions continue to get worse. Despite these challenges, Human Appeal’s local team inside Gaza is still working each day, providing medical care, hot food and clean water. Human Appeal remains steadfast in our determination to help Palestinian families.
Working with our partners Jordan’s Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), we shipped 5 planes and 3 containers of humanitarian aid, including winter clothing from Jordan to our warehouse in Gaza.
We provided winter clothing to displaced families struggling to stay warm in Gaza.
The Human Appeal Desalination Plant, the largest in Rafah governorate, is now operational, benefitting over 30,000 local inhabitants with improved water quality in the aftermath of recent displacement.
Our medical shipment reached Gaza and we were able to distribute critical medical supplies to Aouda hospital.
Amidst this crisis, Human Appeal is making a difference. Our Water Desalination Plant, the largest in Rafah Governorate, is now operational. Located in the Eastern Gaza Strip, it produces 57,000 litres of clean water every hour.
We continued to distribute hundreds of food parcels and hygiene kits to displaced Palestinians seeking shelter in the central Gaza.
We delivered food parcels, baby formula, nappies/diapers, and other essential items to the paediatric and intensive care departments at Nasser Hospital in South Gaza.

Eid Al-Fitr - Human Appeal distributed hundreds of Eid packs to children in Gaza, including 744 toys and 334 boxes of cookies, and carried out activities to lift the spirits of children.
Human Appeal has been providing mobile clinic services in Gaza, with the clinic visiting a different shelter school each week, providing treatment to displaced families that cannot access healthcare.
