Since 7 October, more than 10,569 Palestinians have been killed, including over 4,324 children, as well as health workers and journalists. Over 26,000 people have been wounded, and 2,550 are still missing and suspected to be dead and under the rubble – half of them are children.
Within the space of just three weeks, the number of children killed in Gaza exceeded the number of children killed in all other conflict zones since 2019.
In a single night, an estimated 500 people were killed in Al Ahli Hospital; 46% of hospitals are sadly not functioning. Over 1.4 million people have been displaced from their homes, some forced to flee to safety, and others whose homes have been completely destroyed.
A complete siege has cut off all food, water, fuel and electricity, and almost all internet to 2.3 million people. Terrifying scenes show clouds of smoke engulfing the entire horizon, and of generations of families carrying what they can as they flee to southern Gaza.
Gaza’s only power plant has shut off, plunging the region into darkness. Hospital generators run on fuel, and medical staff have warned they fuel will run out in a matter of hours. If the generators turn off, not only will they be unable to treat the injured, but those dependent on equipment to live – including premature babies, and those on life support - will die.
Hospitals, mosques, water sources and residential buildings are being struck without warning, wiping out entire neighbourhoods. Those who escape and seek shelter in schools, but these have also been targeted by bombs.
$45 – Provide a hygiene kit to a family containing toothbrushes, face masks, soaps, disinfectant, tissues, and other hygiene items.
$65 - Provide 10 tanks of 16 litres of water to 10 families in Gaza.
$70 – Provide a nutritious food parcel to a family-of-six for a month.
$50 pm/$600 pa -Sponsor a Palestinian child - right now over 1,000 children are registered with us awaiting a sponsor.
$100/liter – Provide 40 liters of fuel to hospitals and ambulances.
$250: Provide medical treatment for one person.
Entire neighbourhoods wiped out
The electricity supply to Gaza has been cut, plunging overcrowded hospitals into chaos. Before this escalation, families faced extreme difficulty in accessing enough food and water – 97% of water here is too contaminated to drink.
Hospitals and ambulances have been struck, and nine healthcare workers killed. Schools are closed, and morgues have run out of space, forced to store bodies on the floor.
More than 1.7 million people have been forced to flee their homes, fleeing to the south, seeking shelter in homes, makeshift shelters, hospitals and UN schools, but there is no safe refuge as the bombs continue to rain down. UN shelters have officially run out of water.
