Cataract surgery for Yemenis

The Messenger (PBUH) said: Whoever brings ease to one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this life and the Hereafter.” (Sahih Muslim)

$200– Give the gift of eyesight by providing a vulnerable Yemeni with cataract surgery to prevent and reverse blindness.

Hospitals in Yemen struggle to meet the communities’ needs, and war-affected families can’t afford to access healthcare. But you can help us to provide cataract surgery to 300 of the most vulnerable Yemenis.

Overstretched health facilities

For seven years, residents of Taiz, Yemen, have endured brutal conflict. It was one of the worst-hit regions in Yemen, and families lost their homes, belongings, livelihoods and security in the war.

This year, Al-Taawun Hospital can’t meet the needs of the local community and has asked for support in providing cataract surgery for 300 patients who are at risk of losing their sight.

A vision for the future

It especially difficult to be vulnerable to blindness when you live in insecurity and are already struggling to rebuild after years of conflict. But when you donate $200 you’ll help a vulnerable Yemeni to retain and recover their eyesight. With your help, we want to support 160 women and 140 men to be able to see, and remove the risk of blindness.

Be a mercy to a person who is losing their sight.

Our work in Yemen

Human Appeal has been changing lives through our projects in Yemen since 2014. We’ve helped over 900,000 people during the course of the conflict, primarily through health projects and emergency food aid to tackle malnutrition. Last year, you helped us to support 963,849 people by providing food security, healthcare, and spreading warmth in winter.

Help us to turn life around for one vulnerable person. Ease a hardship and reap the blessings of charity.

Please note, if sufficient funds are not raised for a particular project, your donation may be reallocated to where the need is greatest.
