"O people! Spread the Islamic greetings amongst yourselves, feed the hungry, maintain kinship relations, observe prayer at night while people are asleep and you will peacefully enter the Paradise." (Ibn Majah)

Up to 18.3 million Bangladeshis are exposed to climate related hazards – floods, drought, landslides, and cyclones hit Bangladesh cyclically each year. We work in the short term to support people with food parcels, and we also empower them to be resilient to the hardships they face.

$125 – provide a Ramadan family food parcel in Bangladesh, providing 60 family-sized meals.

$270 – Provide a child living on the streets of Dhaka with nutritious food, healthcare, education, and a safe place to go for a year, helping them to get off the streets.

$90 - Provide a person in Bangladesh with cataract surgery to prevent and reverse blindness.

$1,400– build a deep water well in a vulnerable and community in Bangladesh, benefiting 105 people.

$140 - Provide clean water, sanitation and improved hygiene to 10 Rohingya refugees, protecting them from disease, infection, and floods.

$140 - Provide a nutritious food parcel to a Rohingya family in Cox’s Bazar.

In Dhaka, we provide a drop-in centre for street children, which offers them a safe space, food, and healthcare to meet their short-term needs, as well as education, vocational classes, and outreach services. We also provide recreational activities, classes, books, and stationary, as well as sessions on their rights, exploitation, hygiene, abuse, trafficking and child marriage so that they have the knowledge to protect themselves.

We’re also providing cataract surgery across six districts in Bangladesh. A total of 650,000 people in Bangladesh have blindness caused by cataracts. With surgery, we’re able to restore vision, helping vulnerable people to regain their independence so that they’re able to work and take care of their families.

Through our Feed the Fasting campaign, we’re providing nutritious food parcels to last a family an entire month, helping them to fast without the worry of where their next meal will come from.

Almost 1 million Rohingya refugees are living in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, having escaped brutal persecution in Myanmar. But the conditions are crowded and cramped, and it’s incredibly difficult just to find work. Help us to provide latrines and a water system at Jamtoli refugee camp, and to deliver nutritious food parcels to help families to eat well.

Why donate through Human Appeal

Our projects are run by local staff who work together to improve the lives of the most vulnerable, and the future of their country. When you entrust your charity to us, it’s supported by over 30 years’ experience, and specialists in protection, child safety, and emergency response.

This Ramadan, help us to transform lives in Bangladesh through impactful, thoughtful projects. Entrust your Zakat and Sadaqah to our 32 years of experience. Give mercy today.

Human Appeal is committed to providing aid in the country or program that you select. In the event we complete the program, exceed the required funds, or are denied access to a particular country for reasons beyond our control, Human Appeal reserves the right to reallocate your donation to another program where it is needed most.
