Last year, our team collected and distributed over 2,000 coats to families across Baltimore City days before a major winter storm. 200 volunteers sorted, packed, and delivered. 11 handmade quilts went out alongside hygiene kits. A boy came through Masjid Bilal without a jacket, shivering in the cold. A volunteer walked him to a rack of children's coats and let him pick his own. Moments later he was smiling.
This year we are doubling our goal. The 2026 Winter Coat Campaign runs across three local hubs, with the aim of getting 4,000 coats to people who need them by December 15, five weeks sooner than last year.
Every coat stays in the community where it was given. Drop off a gently used or new coat, volunteer on sorting day, or donate to help us top up the sizes we run short on.
