Urgent Aid Needed for Somalia's Starving Families
After three seasons of little rain, Somalia is facing its worst hunger crisis in 30 years, with 350,000 children at risk of starvation. Nearly 90% of the country’s districts are affected by drought, and almost half a million people are living in famine-like conditions, with one person dying every 48 seconds. The ongoing conflict, climate shocks, and soaring food prices have exacerbated the crisis, leaving families without food, water, or shelter. Human Appeal is already providing food parcels, clean water, and malnutrition treatment to those in dire need, but urgent donations are needed to save lives.
Human Appeal is committed to providing aid in the country or program that you select. In the event we complete the program, exceed the required funds, or are denied access to a particular country for reasons beyond our control, Human Appeal reserves the right to reallocate your donation to another program where it is needed most.
