Heavy rains in Afghanistan have killed over 300 people, destroyed 1,000+ homes, and damaged 2,800+ in Baghlan, Takhar, and Badakhshan. A state of emergency has been declared, with transport and water supplies disrupted.
6 million Afghans face starvation
These floods have compounded Afghanistan’s crisis, following deadly earthquakes that left 40,000 needing aid. Conflict, drought, and economic collapse have left 93% of families struggling to feed themselves, with 2 million children malnourished.
Our response
Human Appeal is providing food parcels, hot meals, tents, and hygiene kits to flood victims. Since 2022, we’ve helped 4.3 million people globally, including 29,000 in Afghanistan.
