Eid ul Adha is a special time to remember those who are less fortunate worldwide. Last year, thanks to your incredible generosity, we were able to distribute fresh Qurbani meat to over one million people in 20 countries, allowing them to celebrate Eid ul Adha. Thank you!
We worked very hard to ensure that your Qurbani reached some of the most hard to reach places, in remote villages and towns and dangerous conflict zones. In every location we select people in genuine need to receive the Qurbani meat, ensuring that we assist the most vulnerable families.
In India, we reached 65,200 and in Pakistan, your donations reached even more, at 66,876. There were 42,000 people who benefitted from your Qurbani donations in Sudan and a combined 85,306 in countries like Palestine, Yemen, Syria and Myanmar, where the need is greater. Often, this is the only time that many of these families have access to meat.
As well as working in 20 different countries globally,we worked locally too. Last year, we distributed Qurbani meat to 2,281 in the UK, which was still reeling from the tragic events at Grenfell Tower and the Manchester Attack.
These are just some of the figures that helped us to reach out to a million people struggling in the depths of hunger. Let’s take this as a testament proving how much good can be achieved when we come together with one aim – helping others.
Thank you for your generous support. Last year, you followed the Sunnah of giving your Qurbani to those less fortunate. You celebrated the relief of Prophet Ibrahim (as) to save and improve the lives of thousands of families in desperate need during a very special time of year. You made a difference and that is how one million smiles were achieved – through your Qurbani. Thank you!
