Dr. Yasir Qadhi
Dr. Yasir Qadhi, a distinguished Scholar at the Memphis Islamic Center, is also a professor at Rhodes College and serves as the Dean of Academic Affairs at AlMaghrib Institute. With a background in Chemical Engineering, he pursued Islamic studies at the Islamic University of Madinah and obtained a PhD in Religious Studies from Yale University, uniquely blending Eastern seminary education with Western academic training.
Dalia Mogahed
Dalia Mogahed is a researcher and pollster, as well as an influential author and consultant specializing in Muslim communities. As the Director of Research at the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, she advises on the intersection of faith-based organizations and societal issues. Mogahed served on Obama's Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships in 2009.
Qari Abdullah ElSharkawy
Qari Abdullah ElSharkawy completed his memorization of the Quran at the age of 9 and went on to graduate with a BA from Al-Azhar. He had 11 ijazat in different qiraat, demonstrating his expertise in Quranic recitation. He obtained his Master’s degree in Quranic sciences. He’s a member of the E-Fatwa group AlAzhar AlSharif, and the Preaching and Guidance Authority of the Islamic Research Academy. He currently serves as the Imam and Director of the Quran Program at MCYC in Elk Grove, California.
