An act of worship on the Laylatul Qadr multiplies your blessings more than any other night of the year. If you spent the whole of Laylatal Qadr helping people, your reward would equal a staggering 83 years of charity. That’s an entire lifetime of reward packed into one powerful, merciful night.
Here’s what your charity could provide:
$25 – Provide an olive tree in Palestine or Syria.
$140 – Provide 3 mothers and 3 babies with life-saving medical care at Al Imaan hospital.
$150 – Provide a person with visual impairments or blindness with cataract surgery in Pakistan, restoring their sight and independence.
$300 – provide a vulnerable Palestinian in Gaza with surgery.
This Ramadan, we thank Allah for allowing us to witness another blessed month, filled with forgiveness, bounty and mercy. Many in our community, including here in the UK, are facing extreme financial strain and food insecurity. For those of us who are able to, let’s try to share our blessings with those struggling for food, as well as those who get no respite from the extreme violence, displacement and oppression they’re facing this Ramadan. The Prophet (PBUH) told us to look for the Night of Power in the last ten nights of Ramadan, particularly on the odd nights. As we approach the end of the holy month, don’t forget to give your Zakat and Zakat al-Fitr, and maximize your chance for reward.

Laylat al-Qadr changes every year, but the Messenger told us to “Seek out Laylat al-Qadr in the odd nights during the last ten nights of Ramadan.” (Al-Bukhari)

May Allah allow us to benefit from the blessings of Laylatul Qadr, may we do that which pleases Him greatly and may we reap from the mercy of this night throughout our lives and the hereafter. May He also allow us to grow our tawakkul and guide us on the straight path always. Ameen.
