Laylatul Qadr: 83 years of Allah’s blessings in one single night

The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. (Quran 97:3-5)

Good deeds on Laylatul Qadr are rewarded more generously than on any other night of the year. If you spend Laylatal Qadr seeking Allah’s blessings – such as through good deeds, worship, and charity - your reward would equal a staggering 83 years of charity. That’s an entire lifetime of reward packed into one powerful, wondrous night.

As we thank The Most Merciful for allowing us to witness another blessed month, filled with His forgiveness, bounty and mercy, let us try to share our blessings and privilege to those in the ummah facing oppression, extreme brutality, and displacement this Ramadan.

Share your blessings with the ummah in Sudan, Gaza, Syria, and Yemen.

$70 – help children in five orphanages in Sudan to have food, emergency care, and protection.

$90 – provide one Yemeni person with medical care, such as neonatal care for a baby, or early cancer detection.

$70 – Provide a vulnerable Syrian family with two kilograms of fresh bread every day for five months, helping them to break the cycle of hunger.

$125 – Provide 6 displaced Palestinians with treatment at our mobile clinic in Gaza. Each day our clinic moves to a different UN school shelter, and treats a daily average of 70 people.

The Prophet (PBUH) told us to look for the Night of Power in the last ten nights of Ramadan, particularly on the odd nights. As we approach the end of the holy month, don’t forget to give your Zakat and Zakat al-Fitr, and maximise your chance for reward.

Prophetic guidance

Follow the Prophet’s (PBUH) example of worship in the last ten days by supporting our transformative projects this Laylatul Qadr, and benefit from the unparalleled reward of this blessed night.

Laylat al-Qadr changes every year, but the Messenger told us to “Seek out Laylat al-Qadr in the odd nights during the last ten nights of Ramadan.” (Hadith Al-Bukhari)

As we enter the final days of Ramadan, join us in seeking the blessings of the most powerful night of the year, and benefit from the magnificent blessings in the hereafter.

A dua for the last 10 nights

Allahumma Innaka ‘afuwwun tuHibbul ‘afwa f’afu anni. (Oh Allah, You are generous and You love to forgive, so forgive me!)

May Allah allow us to benefit from the blessings of Laylatul Qadr, may we do that which pleases Him greatly and may we reap from the mercy of this night throughout our lives and the hereafter. May He also allow us to grow our tawakkul and guide us on the straight path always. Ameen.
