Women's Intensive Care Unit

Intensive care for women and girls in Sana’a

100% Zakat applicable

“Whoever saves the life of one, it is as if he saved the whole of mankind” (Quran 5:32)

$135 – Provide four vulnerable Yemeni women or girls with intensive care treatment.

Almost 20 million Yemenis need healthcare, while clinics and hospitals can’t cope with demand. At Al Thawra General Hospital, the women’s intensive care unit is chronically overstretched, with no beds available.

Help us to provide two beds and two monitors to the intensive care unit, which will help approximately 360 women and girls each year. Help save a life today.

Only 50% of health facilities are open

Only half of all of Yemen’s health facilities are fully operational, at a time when people urgently need healthcare.

With your help, we want to support 216 women and 144 girls to receive treatment each year at Al Thawra General Hospital in Sana’a, where the intensive care unit is consistently full. Your donation will provide a portion of the total cost of £9,000 which is equal to helping one woman or girl.

By providing this long-term equipment, your donation will continue to help one person each year, making it a beautiful act of Sadaqah Jariyah, which will provide blessings year after year.

Our work in Yemen

Human Appeal has been changing lives through our projects in Yemen since 2014. Last year, we helped 963,849 people in Yemen, including providing over 800,000 people with healthcare. In 2020, we supported 358,011 people through healthcare, nutrition, winter support, and projects fighting COVID-19 and malnutrition.

Your charity today could truly save lives in Yemen by providing critical healthcare year after year. Reap the mercy of the holy month.
